Hazel’s 4.17.23 Retirement Litter with Batman & Robin!
Hazel & Rex’s 4.17.23 Litter - Weeks 7&8
Batman and Robin are smart as whips and brave as can be! Outdoor potty through their doggy door, crate training in individual crates, vaccinations, thunderstorms, chain saws, lawn mowers, you name it; nothing is too much for these superheroes! At their vet appointment, the vet and tech were impressed with their calm and affectionate temperaments. Both boys received the comment, “A healthy puppy!” Holy comments, Batman; these are all things we strive for at Ever After!

Hazel & Rex’s 4.17.23 Litter - Weeks 3&4
Batman and Robin had many social opportunities during these weeks in which many hearts were melted. Three Batman villains even came to call, ha! Both boys seem to be quick studies in regard to litter box training. So, outdoor potty and crate training, here they come! Batman and Robin really could not be more adorable!
Hazel & Rex’s 4.17.23 Litter - Weeks 1&2
We had to have some fun with the gift we were given. The coloring of the two boys is too good to be true for the creative members of the Ever After family. Even more pictures as well as videos of the puppies can be seen on Ever After Labradoodles’ Instagram and Facebook accounts - super fun (especially the Batman video)! Although born early, Batman and Robin are not far off schedule with their developmental milestones. Their eyes still opened in the second week - the miraculousness of it never grows old. The boys remain on the tiny side, so Ever After helps Hazel with being extra careful going to and from the whelping box.
Their Story Begins…
These adorable pups, along with Hazel, deserve superhero status, thus the names. It was an unexpected whelping experience. Hazel delivered almost a week early (unusual for her). Unfortunately, five of the seven puppies did not make it. Only these two little boys beat the odds. Batman was small but able to readily nurse on his own. Robin, a bit smaller, nursed but also needed the additional help with bottle feeding. After 1 week of round-the-clock care, the two were tiny but mighty on their own. Batman is Ever After’s first almost completely black puppy. Robin has an adorable mask and seemingly black cape the shape of a bat. The two together make for a perfect cape crusaders duo.
